HYDEX 4101 / PBT
HYDEX® 4101 is a PBT polyester thermoplastic that can withstand higher impact than PET polyesters and thus carries reduced risk of part breakage in operation. It is a food grade plastic material that can meet most agency requirements for food contact compliance and is ideal for machined parts in food processing equipment. It has excellent resistance to typical cleaning chemicals solutions, and has a very low moisture absorption rate, as much as 15 times less than nylon. Potential applications include positioning blocks, conveyor gears, food pistons, dispenser nozzles.
